Sometimes I think Killerspin has really helped table tennis in the US. Other times, when I see this, I shake my head. I worry that people think, because of Seemiller’s rather sensationalistic commentating, that this is “real” world class table tennis. Please. Lupulesku is moving in slow motion to keep the points going. I’m about an 1800 rated player, and I’m not completely sure I couldn’t beat Biba. She’s part of these matches for one reason only – her looks. It’s just sad to watch.

That was my implication when I asked if it was a “joke” but I understand if my question didn’t come out quite how I intended. But notice how the commentator mentioned that “it’s not unusual for a man to play a woman in the TOP LEVEL.” How do you interpret this? Please don’t insult my intelligence unless you have something intelligent to say.
