Luke Burrage Ping Pong 2008
Written by ace.

An extract from my hour long show, a routine with ping pong balls and a table tennis bat: first one ball, then two, then three and finally four. The music was composed and recorded by myself, I call the track "3 Ball Pizza" after the original 3 ball routine for which it was written. I then was on a cruise ship and spent a while learning two ping pong balls on a bat, and the feel of the ping pong juggling seemed to fit the music much better than the 3 ball juggling. See Gran Picasso Junior's act for a similar kind of juggling but with a lot more skill: www.youtube.com As a bonus I left on the next segment of my show, a quick piece with tennis ball and can juggling.

in siteswap, its basically something like icnredibly fast 1s that you get for free. but im not good enough to see how much potential this has. maybe you can try to master this :) some 3-ball showers, switching to 3 on 1 bat, maybe some cool shower-based patterns that look a little bit like mills mess. maybe 4-ball shower, i dont know. 423 would be an obvious pattern with two bats, even without the double-rebounds.

one thing that i do is, i use two of those bats, one in each hand (obviously), and now when a ball is coming down you can either bounce it back up in the air directly, the normal way. or you can rotate both bats inward by 45 degrees so that the ball bounces off both of the bats. because the ball will go up a different path than it went down, you can do shower patterns now. its surprisingly easy to switch between flat and angeled bat-setup, and its not that hard to do it with precision.

Once again jugglegal fails to read the “more info” I added when posting the video

“See Gran Picasso Junior’s act for a similar kind of juggling but with a lot more skill:”

I make no claims to great creativity and give full credit to the juggler with greater skill.

Jugglegal is now banned from commenting on my videos, not for negativity but for continual failure to read properly.

Creative? All hes done is take a one minute routine he saw picaso jr do and turn it into a 4 minute bore fest. Picaso jrs routine has speed, excitment and personality while this has none of those things. You would think that if you do something this slow you would at least try and be funny. A perfect example of “it’s not what you do its how you do it”.
