You’re right undying flame, footwork is essential. A good excercise is to have your opponent serve from one corner to another and return only with forehand!
I find that footwork is (against most people’s beliefs) the most difficult part to ping pong and is the key to good playing. (my club-mates are unconvinced).
I have very very far to go myself in terms of footwork. Thanks for the video, I tend to stand too far to the backhand corner (and I have much too much of a tendency to step around the corner in order to forehand loop), though I suspect this could be corrected if I develop a backhand loop.
