I don’t like his wrist all bend backwards at the start of the swing. This could result in a bended wrist when switching to forehand

I don’t blame you for not knowing how to play proper backhand stroke. Saudi Arabia is not very good at table tennis and neither are americans or auistralians. Look at a good backhand player like Timo Boll or Oh Sang Eun and all the European players.

what are you talking about? Look at Samsonov, Persson (tall people) or look at 5th game 9-7 point in the now classic Ma Lin – Kenta Matsudaira match from WC. THAT’s backhand loops, and do notice where he finished all of them

Bad Technique. Are you sure that’s a European Backhand Loop? I suggest you redo this lesson along with the BH Topsin against Backspin.

there a lot of negative comment on this video shows for their ignorance on playing for example like bartek4443 do we need to flick forehand topspin as same back hand as he says, listen flick is for short balls ok if opponents gives topspin or wether from back hand or forehand then it should be counterhit by your forehand or back hand topspin…

do you flick on forehand topsin? it is the same as backhand, you do not flick on a proper backhand topsin, you only flick on short balls over the table or underspin.

he may be a good player but his backhand stroke is not his strong side for sure. a backhand stroke should be fast and short and should not go up to your face height by all means. just look at any good backhander with the exception of kreanga, who needs to go high because he is short.

why don’t you show some backhand loop drive rather than just topspin?

back hand topspin involves significant amount of wristwork than arm work to get more spin faster, bcoz most of the time you won’t get that amount of time to swing your arm.

    hmm
    very nice.

but i prefer to perform some “shorter” moves
i guess the overlifting of your arm probably may get you less faster than you should be =X

PS: sorry for my bad english =X i learn english in china… so… i guess you can imagine how bad it is.

Try watching the video again and imagine yourself playing the stroke. It is often best when starting just to imagine the start position and the finish position. Then make sure you are getting the angle of the bat correct.
